Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa

Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa

“Omotenashi” (generous hospitality) is an important aspect of Japanese culture and the concept originates from “hatago,” the forerunner of modern-day Japanese inns. The Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa is located in Odawara, one of the oldest hatago areas in Japan. With consideration of the historical background of the area and the history of the Hilton as a world-class hotel group, we planned a renovation for the hotel to ensure a standard of quality and functions suitable to the brand. We applied Japanese aesthetics, a preference for quietness and mildness rather than pomposity, to the renovation in order to create a harmony of space and make full use of the beautiful view overlooking the sea. Guests will see the history and culture of the area through traditional crafts, patterns, and natural motifs, and be able to feel the story of the town of Odawara in its beautiful nature.
