Niimi City Library

Niimi City Library

A project to convert a 20-year-old building from a lifelong learning center into a library. Taking advantage of floor load-bearing conditions (bookcases must have no more than 3 shelves), low bookcases are used in an open, connected space to create “a library where citizen activities can be seen”. Furniture such as bookcases, stools, sofas, tables, etc. for multiple uses are combined to provide diversity and changeability.
