Furniture for Kyoto Sangyo University Sagittarius Kan

This is a facility that serves as the core of language learning centered on the university’s Global Commons. Furniture with the concepts of “overlapping, interconnecting, and adding color”, such as tables with tangram-shaped tops that can be combined in 2,500 ways, a giant 13-meter long bookshelf that appears to be floating in mid-air, 12-layer benches made of plywood colored all the way through so that the color remains even if the plywood is scratched or abraded, etc. are used to enrich and deepen the encounters, exchanges, and communication that begin here.
