KYOBASHI EDOGRAND

KYOBASHI EDOGRAND

The EDOGRAND Building — 32 floors above ground, three below; 170m in height and with 120,000m2 of floor space, some commercial, some office; a direct connection to the Tokyo Metro Subway; and a key element in the redevelopment of the historic Kyobashi district. We handled design from the B1 floor up through the galleria space, together with office entranceways, a sky lobby and other shared spaces. Even streetlamps. Our design concept builds on this “grand Edo” theme, emphasizing luster and brightness with elements suggestive of Edo-komon (a dyed kimono pattern long considered the height of urban fashion) and artisinal silver and gold.
