Meitetsu Inn Hamamatsucho

This hotel marks Meitetsu Inn’s first advance into the Tokyo area, and its design builds on that theme: first advance  self-introduction  business cards  stacks of paper. This can be seen in the lobby, where wall elements are kept to the same proportion as business cards. As a visitor goes deeper, he or she encounters a multi-stacked front counter that runs even further into the interior to create a sense of spaciousness. Guest rooms, while small at approximately 12m2 in floor area, too impart this sense with a continuous, smooth curve from a built-in desk into a headboard. The motif here is that of a first-class airline cabin.
