Loisir Hotel Naha

With more than 22 years having passed since its opening, Loiser Hotel Naha set off on a project to modernize its guestrooms. New features and designs were added, including measures to better accommodate multiple-guest stays by, for example, rearranging 34 and 39m2 guestrooms to fit four beds. Loiser Hotel is one of a select few hotels in Naha that face the sea, and here designers sought to create a space for quiet refrain, where guests can reflect on their Okinawa vacation experience. Carpeting of sand-beige and turquoise blue, like a gentle beach along the East China Sea; headboards of bingata dyed cloth or mincer, a traditional textile of the Yaeyama Islands; and gentle artistic arrangements bring the feel of an Okinawan resort to the city.
