Wadakura Fountain Park Rest House

We designed and supervised replacement of the furniture, fixtures and equipment in the Wadakura Fountain Park Rest House, located on the eastern side of the Imperial Palace Garden. (The park was constructed in commemoration of the royal wedding of the then Crown Prince, currently Emperor Akihito.) A number of visitors from Japan and other countries are allowed to use this facility free of charge. A new exhibition space was opened inside the rest house, providing detailed and museum-level explanations regarding Kokyo-no-mori, a nature conservation area more than 400 years old. Wooden deck chairs and parasols have been set up on the outside terrace, providing a comfortable place to eat and drink.
