Hotel Mets Musashisakai

The hotel has been completely refurbished. While the pre-existing walls have been retained, the entire hotel has been given a makeover that conjures up images of a small hotel in Europe. The design exhibits an astronomy-based motif, a reference to the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan located nearby. In an effort to reproduce the starry sky seen the day the hotel was founded, the panel behind the reception counter has been modified so that the illumination which strikes it creates a starry sky that shines all day long. The floor design features a motif depicting the Milky Way and the orbits of planets. The artwork also incorporates the sky and phases of the moon as motifs.
