Tomoyuki HINO

After graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts with a master's degree in Art, Hino joined Nikken Space Design in 1997. He has been in charge of wide-ranging projects including educational facilities (libraries), cultural facilities (museums), office buildings, hotels, apartment buildings, hospitals, products and signs. He is especially experienced in interior design for libraries. He designed the main area of one of Japan's largest university libraries, and has designed almost ten libraries including office libraries. His works range from mock-ups of apartments which require cross-sectional and innovative design to Buddhist museums expressing historicity. His design approach is modern and hybrid, and he is involved in all areas of design to meet his clients' exacting requirements.
